Love•Desire•One

As the center of the universe it is my pleasure from time to time to make a proclamation.
Stand by . . .

I have this desire.

The Dalai Lama tells us that desire is the source of all suffering.
He and those who share his philosophy desire to end suffering.

They acknowledge this paradox as well as the paradox that for there to be light there must also be darkness.

The Wizard of Oz tells us that a heart is not judged by how much you love but by how much you are loved by others.

It is common wisdom that you know that you love someone because when you are with them, or simply because they exist, you are a better person?

Many belief systems hold that we, meaning sometimes all self aware beings, other times all life, or simply all that exists, are one.

Other systems insist that we each, as individuals, direct and fulfil our own
individual destinies.

For this to happen trade and exchange between individuals must occur.

The concept of property, of ownership, is a very new concept in the very long history of human beings.

The concept of possessions have made possible exponential growth and development. Also the source of an exponential growth of suffering.

I, as an individual, desire.

I, as one expression of all that exists, desire.
To live, is to desire.
To love, is to turn away suffering.
